Europe regains Ryder Cup
Europe, led early on by Ian Poulter and Luke Donald, regained the Ryder Cup after fending off a brilliant fightback by the United States in Monday's last-day singles.

That was a great RC up to the last group. It was quite exiting. The big difference was the putting IMO. Throughout all 4 days the US team did not make putts and the Europe team was making almost every thing.

Might want to change the title and hide the spoiler for the thread? I have this pvr'd at home and can't wait to watch it.

Okie Dokie. Just saying that your members waiting to see it when they get home but want to theck out the forums might benefit from a different subject say something like "Ryder Cup Results Inside" with the relative information/spoiler contained therein.

If you PVR'd a Stanley Cup final game wouldn't you avoid hockey forums as well as the TV and radio until you watched it?

No need to beat a dead horse, you don't agree with the idea and that's cool. I think Reid's comment is a little nuts though. That site died after they changed the forum design and started charging to use the classified ads.

I know nothing of what "killed" GEA. Not my concern and it has nothing to do with my position on this issue. Golf news is current and it gets out there in a timely manner.
You can't expect everyone else to tow the line and keep mum until you have watched your recorded events. It makes more sense for you to avoid exposure to sports news rather than put the blame on others with comments like "Thanks for nothing". You'll need to keep away from lots of sources to remain in the dark all day. It's all over the news, but you expect it stifled on a golf forum?Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Had I not been responding to a PM and thus leaving a potential buyer stranded with no update I would have avoided it all together. It goes back to the point made above, to which the caption *Spoiler* could have been added along with the title "Ryder Cup Results".
It's not like you actually started a discussion in your news worthy post(or any of them for that matter) you basically just copy and article and first line without offering any insight whatsoever. Which at the end of the day was enough to spoil it for the rest of us people going home to watch.
Again, thanks for nothing.

Actually it's an RSS news feed. They are posted automatically reporting golf news items.
There is no need to access the rest of the site when replying to a PM. Assuming you were notified by email, the link is direct to the PM.

I spoiled it myself by going to Golf.com off and on all day.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Did you complain to them that they spoiled it for you?

I was attempting humor and trying to lighten the mood in this thread.

I agree, if you don't want the results, stay away from golf forums. Heck I taped Friday's play and stayed away from the internet altogether just in case my e-mail flashed up the scores in one of those automatic e-mails from Golf World or whatever. I even shielded my eyes from the TVs in the atrium of my building just in case. Anyhow, great Ryder Cup, loved it, it truly is the best tournament out there for sheer drama. For me, the only thing that I didn't enjoy was Johnny Miller, but that is another story.

Apex, you should have kept the comment in there. It was funny.

Funny. The only thread about Europe actually winning, and not a single "well done"...

I though it was very exciting and any one who thinks these multi millionaires do not really care about the Ryder Cup just check out Hunter Mahan at the post press conference, he could not compose himself and Phil had to intervene.

Two things I want to add... since they were both brought up:
- Ole, ole, ole, OLE!!! (ie. Way to kick some US butt Europe).
- Johnny Miller rules.

Brilliant golf from both teams , Graeme Mcdowell clutch again , the best ryder cup in a while imo.
I'd love to see them scrap the presidents cup (which is dramaless and pretty pointless imo)and put USA vs Europe vs restoftheworld in a ryder cup format
I love the way Jonny miller always one ups his co-presenter he's really hard to listen to at times. At the end of the day ... It gets dark

I was amazed that Hunter Mahan was unable to halve it, he is so clutch, I guess you cannot be clutch all of the time. I really felt for the guy afterward at the press conference, he was devastated, he could not talk without crying. A very emotional guy and dedicated to his teamates and country, great person.
