Bell Canadian Open on ExpressVu
Not sure if anyone has Bell ExpressVu, but I was flipping through a few nights ago and apparently there si a special channel for the tournament that lets you choose if you want to watch the Network feed, speciific holes and even follow specific groups (if they're being taped). Just a heads up cause this may be the futuire of golf on telelvision, it would be fun to watch a group all day and see how they behave between shots, pre shot routines, etc.
Its channel 276, here's the link!

Enjoy!

I just got my HDTV and Rogers HD. I am a bit disapointed in the amount of actual HD content available right now, but it looks like there will be a lot more HD programming comming soon, so I think this was a good time to get into it.
The Olympics were very cool, and the newer big network shows like Law and Order and CSI are absolutely stunning. I can't wait to see golf in HD, but so far the golf on the HD stations is not broadcast in HD. Does anyone know what we can expect in the near future regarding HD coverage of golf? CBS aparently did 14 weeks of mixed HD/SD where certain greens were using HD cameras. The people in the forums I read did not like it. They say all HD or nothing, because flipping back and forth is very distracting and makes the SD look awful.
This ExpressVu feature sounds really interesting. Please let us how you like it.

Just found this comment form CBS
Standard-definition elements will continue to rear their heads in high-definition sports broadcasts. "We can do instant replay in HD," says Franks of CBS, "but we can't do super slow-mo in HD. We cannot yet project the first-down line in HD or use 30 cameras to rotate the field of view 180 degrees in HD. The wireless RF cameras that we use so much in our golf coverage aren't available in HD. People complain that we mix in SD, but that's the only way to give them things they're accustomed to."
