Golf season coming to a close
With the off season approaching, where will you be playing?
I'll get a few rounds in Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Maybe Montego Bay if I go.Zeemine

The season is not over until it snows and that snows persists. Otherwise, the season remains open. I've usually found a course to play at in the Ottawa area at least until late November or early December. Will the real golfers please stand up.

I am pretty lucky, I am going on my honeymoon in Oct. and have become a member at Waikola Golf Course for a week (http://www.waikoloabeachresort.com/) then we are off to Kaui where I will be playing Princeville (www.pricevilleresort.com) then we are off to Vegas for 3 days. I am not sure where I will be playing yet!
Once I get back from the honeymoon, I am off to Tampa the next week for business and will be playing at The Claw, the University of South Florida course!

That was Calabogie this past april. Was behind the green at the 9th hole. The one that goes downhill by 40-50 feet with little creek in front left.

Here's a better pic with the hole. Notice the water hazard???? Two of my buddies took the easy route. One rolled over the ice while the other bounced it off the ice. Silly me, I hit the green.

I bounced one across the ice at Gatineau in early April this year too. My opartner was mad as I beat him by 1 stroke, which would of been a penalty stroke if not for the ice!!!
Lots of yoga pants these days, not enough Yoga!

I will be golfing early in the morning anyways (6:30am). Since I will be playing alone, it should go quick. I did the same thing last year at Lake Placid and I was able to play alone with a cart in just over 2 1/2 hous.

I wrote that in '96 I think. You would not believe the number of emails I have had about that article over the years.

Went to a seminar last year and played golf in the snow. The golfer's eyes are covered so he can't see a thing and his partners guide him throughout the hole. Big plastic club and big plastic ball. A swing and a miss. Hilarious.

Excessive use of the S word
Please refrain from using the S word.....sn*w............ this word is offensive to many within this very forum. Besides if we don't use the word, maybe it won't come!

Yeah, my first round was on April 2 at The Nation. I'd say it was a pretty early start to the season this year. Let's hope we have at least 6-8 weeks left!

Played in 20 degree sunshine yesterday on a very lush carpet at Cloverdale Links. I thought about this thread. I have been off with an injury for 2 months, so for me, I'm just happy to be out, but...
The weather is fine for a few more weeks, and then I may have to wear a jacket. Conditions now are far better than in the spring. Golf season is nowhere near over lads

In fact, Golf season is currently at its peak, just look at the shape Glen Abbey was in on the weekend. The fall offers some of the best golf of the year. The newbies are less numerous, the courses are made more beautiful by the foliage changes, and we've had the past 5 months to hone ours skills to razor-sharp perfection. I plan on playing until the end of october at least, and hopefully right into december at the various courses that stay open right up to the (ahem) end of the season.
