Wedge lie angle same as rest of irons?

I took a Ping fitting and was told that I should play green dot (2.25 degrees upright) in my irons. Should I also get my wedges bent 2.25 degrees upright? It seems logical but I read that many players play "standard" lie in the their wedges even though they may play flat or upright irons. Opinions?

Often times the wedges are a bit more flat then the rest of the set. Personally I would hit each iron and bend them to what ever lie angle they need to be... even if they vary though the set. Thats one of the problems with being fit, you only usually get to hit one loft of iron.

Are our wedge shots straight or going to the right?? If straight don't touch them.

By not correcting the lie, you will be forced to make an adjustment in your address in order to get the directional control.

If you play these clubs as fairway clubs, then i recommend you correct them for lie and length so you do not have to make an adjustment just because they are wedges.

I play my wedges at identcal lengths and lies to enable consistency. This way only the loft is different driving consistency to your wedge play.

Length and lie are paramount for directional control.

Full wedge shots from the fairway do tend to go right for me. Will making them more upright make them less playable for delicate shots around the green though? (i.e. making them harder to open up)

It should not affect opening them up

Bending the wedges 2.25* up, is based on the assumption that they are currently "standard" and consistent from club to club. Don't assume anything. Do as Goley suggested.

For the little finesse shots, shorten up on the grip to get the lie sitting correct to your best chip position. It can be as much as 3 inches. This allows correct lie to give correct directional control.

To me the key is - if I use these for full shots - the lie and length must be correct.
    Thanks, Dan
