Playing in it for the first time as well. The par fives are not gimmes there so scores are not usually crazy low (or so I've heard).

Whitetail is a great tournament, and the way they divide the field after day 1 makes it very fair to everyone. Sorry I'm not in it this year, but from what I recall in the past few years its taken a very low score to win the A. If I'm not mistaken, you need to get into the 50s in one of your rounds. Thats fairly low for a 3 man. There were some excellent players there. Forum legends Hoolio and Geronamo are heading up.

I heard -21 or-22 won last year and around -7 or -8 after day 1 made A flight.

I seem to recall somebody who won the Sun Scramble winning the A last year, I can't remember the name off the top of my head.

Our team ended up winning in a playoff this year (-20), although some teams, including our own, could probably have been a bit lower. Some tough pins on both days, but I thought the course was in really good shape and we played with 2 really great groups so overall was a good experience.


Anyone playing in the 4-man in Upper Canada this coming weekend?

First tee time is at 10:30am. There's an open flight as well as b and c flights. Not sure on the rest of the details so if anyone is interested then call the pro shop. 624-5550 and ask for Alton as I believe he's the one running it.

The A is open to any handicaps B is combined team handicap of 18 and over, and I think C is combined cap of 36 and over. Not sure if it was $20 per person or per team (plus green fee if applicable) and like jet84 said, call the pro shop and talk to Alton. I spoke with him earlier today and he said spots are filling but still plenty of room for more.

October 9th saw the club host our annual 4 man Scratch Scramble. 26 teams of the area's top CPGA Professionals and ametuers competed on what turned out to be a fantastic October day. The greens were perfect, running at about thirteen on the Stimp meter and garnishing rave reviews from all the players. Coming out on top was the team of Learmonth, CPGA order of Merit winner for 2010, Reinhart, Bernard and Mclean from the Deep River Renfrew area with a fine score of 17 under par 54. They managed to birdie all 5 par threes, which has never been done in this Tournament. They also captured the only skin of the day with an eagle on number 7. Tied for second place were the teams of Beale, Crowe, Patterson and Fabbro from Camelot and McCuaig, Holmes, Bell and Curry of the Hunt Club with scores of 56. Three teams were tied for forth at 57. These were the Brockville foursome of Saunders, Healey, Watts and Byrd, Colburg's team of Milner, Lafontaine, Castleton and Ryan and the team from Arnprior of McGee, Koski, Tapp and Shields.

There will probably be some strong teams at the Marshes on Sunday.

-12,Greg Foley's team won the Mountain Creek Scramble last Saturday....15 teams...course was excellent and so was the food. Hope to do better than -6 next year!!!!!!!
