Green fees thinking vs member thinking. Member will play to get value from money already paid.

Played Greensmere today, we were 2 of 9 people on the course and it was all good. Dress correctly and these are some of the best days to get out!

I was actually going to try and play tomorrow regardless of the temperature. I haven't played for 13 days and my index is 16.1 and I really wanted to get it into the 15's. Tomorrow was last chance saloon....damn!

I can't believe it, but I haven't paid a green fee all year! A buddy took me to Rideauview, atomic took me to Eagle Creek, work took me to a couple other courses, but other than that, its been Renfrew all year for me. I'm looking forward to my November Greensmere membership. Today was fine, we had the course to ourselves, I made a clutch birdie, but lost my match on 18. I've discovered the value of cashmere underneath a rain proof jacket. I was sweating.

I played on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and will be playing today. What cool weather? The only thing that will keep my group off the course is a foot of snow.

As promised, I played this morning at The Highlands in Bradford. During the round I thought of each and every one of you in Ottawa cowering in your homes from old man winter.
While it was a nippy 3 degrees, the wind wasn't blowing so it was quite comfortable. The intermittent snow squalls, though, made it a bit more challenging. Fortunately, there was no accumulation of snow on the greens.
Twelve one putts led to a surprising 72, and I still lost money. The only way I can beat my friend with a 22 handicap is with a baseball bat or if I shoot under par. Since the former is illegal, I better figure out how to post some really low numbers.Proud member of the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Ottawa Golf Ryder Cup teams.

Short sleeves golf here on PEI last Friday and Saturday. 120 rounds for me - career high.
