What is commonly known as "Single Digit HC"?
I guess you could say one of my goals a few years ago was to get my HC down to be one of the illustrious "Single Digit Handicappers".
Now that I know a little more about the handicap system, what the heck is a single digit anyways? Is it if your index (or factor) is below 10? My index is now an 8.8, but on my course, from the white's I'm a 9, and a 10 from the blues/blacks?
Did I make single digit?

Haha, I think you did! That would be silly to say I'm a single digit handicapper at 'this' course, but not at 'this' course. It has to be based on your factor.

The general consensus is when your factor is below 10.
As you point out, your course handicap will be all over the place. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!
