Naturalized zone
If your ball lands in a naturalized zone, (area marked with a sign states naturalized zone) what are your options.
This specific area is beside a lateral hazard “Lake” but there are no red sticks around the naturalized zone.
Do I get a free drop or a penalty shot?

What course? I can recall seeing a couple of these around - Stonebridge on the East 4th I think and the old Greyhawk had a couple. In both cases I thought the scorecard indicated it was an environmentally sensitive area and was marked with red stakes topped with green stripes. The rule, as I recall, was to play it as a lateral hazard but with no option to play the ball as it lies, i.e. you must take a penalty and drop out of the hazard, and you were not permitted to go inside and pick up your ball. Now that I think of it, Pakenham also has one of these areas in front of the 9th green on the Island course.
