Anyone use Optishot in LivingRooms?
I'm interested in purchasing/testing an Optishot for Offseason but I do not have the ideal setup. My basement ceiling is too low but I have 9ft ceilings in my living room which is a 15' x 15' room with the back open to the kitchen. I've read a few articles that talk about lighting etc and I'm just curious if others are using it in less than ideal setups.
Also, I read on their website that they have a 30 day money back guarentee if its ordered off the site, but I'd prefer to buy local. Does anyone know anywhere that has demo units available to test or rent, or anywhere that the unit can be returned if it doesn't work in my situation?

I'm using mine in the living room. There's no overhead lighting, but with light coming from the dining area & TV, it seems to be enough. I also have 9ft ceilings and have no probs with the driver length... but it may take you a while to get used to being confined.
Check a national golf store like Golf Town. They should have them in, or at least be able to order one in for you... That would make returning it a bit easier.
Cheers

I've used mine in the living room without problems - I even left the blinds open and got good results with the sun shining in. It really depends on the clubs you use.
If you are expecting spot-on accuracy, don't bother, but for a home simulator it is a great price.
You may want to look to see if there is one for sale in your local paper and then check it out there.
I sell them as well, where are you located?

Hey All,
My wife has finally agreed to allow me to put a multi-system practice / play / test center in our front room where I can play on the different systems and produce some videos for you all to see!!!
I was able to convince my wife by committing to put a 2" underlay and soft turf so that our future kid can play in there too (we may even put in a climbing wall!). I have attached a picture of the room that we are working on.
Talk about your crazy fun DIY Simulator Systems!
Cheers,
Cory

Hey Cory -
Future kid? Is that a general "we plan to have kids in the next couple years" kind of reference, or something more concrete with an actual expected arrival date?

Funny how golf practice can be tiresome and frustrating at times, but other types of practice can be so much more enjoyable... Keep up the good work.

Yup, this is by far the best type of practicing! Now if it could only help improve my game! LOL
