Blade with graphite shaft
Since I've got some chronic tennis elbow and love a blade I'm going to have to look at a Graphite shaft. But I'm not sure if I can make up a set of grphites with a blade. Here's the specs - heads are Maltby - average weight is 260 grams 3-pw. Probably the weight of these shafts is going to be around 60 grams. If I can do this I'm going to mess around with a lot of lead tape.
Andre will proabably chime in on this. Is it possible to fit a blade to a grphite shaft with some degree of predictability.
Thanks all clubmakers

There's no problem matching blades to graphite.
Is there a particular reason you are going with 60g shafts? You would probably be better off with a heavier graphite to make it play closer to what you are used to.
Other than that, the biggest drawback with graphite is the price. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I used to game blades with the Proforce V2 shafts at around 115 grams and i loved em.

If vibration is an issue you might want to consider prosoft inserts or sensicore inserts and you could also ram down a cork down the shaft.(steel shafts)
Lighter graphite shafts will possibly generate a bit more clubhead speed but if swingweight is an issue you will have to build them longer to achieve a swingweight over D. If going with graphite check the torque as generally speaking most graphite shafts have higher torque values than steel. If I were you I would try one club before comitting to the whole set.Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

Thanks for the responses guys. All the responses I wanted to hear. I will go with a heavier graphite if I build them. I think vibration and shaft weight is an issue dealing with this tennis elbow issue.
