I did it!!!!! (remember we are talking about golf)

I finally broke 80 this weekend. I organized a foursome to play the Falcon in Hudson on Saturday. Me and my future father-in-law got there late. We practice two putts each on the practice green and we were told to go.

Then we made teams (for those who know's Mont-Cascade players) it was me and Gilles against Bob (sideshow bob) and Guy (hack and smach) for a dollar a hole carry over.

Due to my outstanding game of 78 (38-40) we made 15$ each from them.

So 6 over par on a par 72 from the gold tees - 6670 verges rating of71.5 and a slope of 129 .

Now I have to keep going and all of this on my second full year of playing and never had a lesson but will have one soon.

    Thanks

    J-F

Well I've always played with the members at Mont-Cascade and they helped me a lot with their tips.

What a lot of golf academy and read some golf magazines. And I practice a lot to the driving range, putt and chipping.

    And I play every weekend.

    And I love it

    Thanks guys

I'm sure I could show you some stuff too, ask them (Gilles & Jack)what I did after the cleaner's party last year when we got to Gille's place.

You'll see I have a few tricks of my own!!!!

We'll see you at Mont-Cascade on the 18th

    Ciao

But getting that first one under your belt is a great feeling. Once you have the mental game the rest is easier. I'm still fighting the demons between the ears, but having at least I'm having fun at it. Knowing you can shoot in the 70's and doing it on occasion (for us B players that is) is satisfaction on its own.
