We had the big draft last night, and we moved to a ppr league this year. Here's my team:
    Matt Ryan
    Kevin Kolb
    Chad Henne
    LeSean McCoy
Joseph Addai (it's his contract year)
    Rickie Williams
    Randy Moss
    Reggie Wayne
    Devin Aromashou
    Louis Murphy
    Dallas Clarke
    Greg Olsen
    Ryan Longwell
    Jets Defense

I'm pretty happy here. We get 5 free agent pick-ups throughout the year for injury insurance. 12 man league.

    IT BEGINS!!!!!!!!!

post your draft results so we can see who you drafted and where...

I love my time, its 6pts of a TD (QB, WR, RB, TE.. doesn't matter) and points for yardage.

I decided to do something very very risky and not draft a QB until round 11 and 12 as I knew the two guys i wanted would be avail very late. No one was going to take Big Ben Roethlisberger and no one was going to take Stafford(det).

    so I drafted

    rb
    MIN A. Peterson
    CIN C. Benson
MIA R. Brown (VERY WORRIED ABOUT HIM GETTING HURT)
BUF Spiller (COULD END UP STARTING FOR ME OVER BENSON BY MID SEASON)

    WR
DET C.Johnson (HE IS GOING TO GO NUTS THIS YEAR)
    DAL Austin
    CAR S.Smith (PLEASE STAY HEALTHY)
    DEN Gaffney (SLEEPER)

    TE
    SD Gates
PIT Miller (how was this pro bowler avail so late, people drafted so many people i had below this guy)

    QB
DET Stafford (HE CAN START THE FIRST 5 GAMES AND THEN BEN CAN TAKE OVER)
PIT Roethlisberger (PLEASE BE RESTED AND PLAY WITH A SENSE OF URGENCY)

    KICKER
NYG Tynes (WHAT IS THE DIF BETWEEN THE BEST KICKER AND THE 10TH BEST? 1 POINT A WEEK SO WHO CARES)

    DEFENSE

MIN (would loved to have picked up the Jets but revis wasn't back at the time out our draft and some idiot took him in round 6!!

I'm very nervous about my QB strategy because there were good QBs avail but i passed on them to load up on WR, RB, and TE

    So....

You ended up with 2 of the best RB's, 2 of the best WR's, probably the best TE for this year. How many others were in this draft? Just you and your wife?

Your right that your QB's are suspect.....but Rothlisberger should be fine in week 6, and I guess you never know about Staffard. He showed some good playin during the preseason. Spiller has a cahnce to be rookie of the year......Miller might be Dixon's best friend for the 1st 4 games.......

You have to finish first with this team......

Not sold on Miami, especially on the road. And if it gets cold in Buffalo they could lose. Too many question marks in Miami. 8-8 team IMO. Note, I haven't looked at their schedule but would imagine 4 looses right away to NE & Jets.

I have almost all the same pick as you... not sure how good this is...

    The 3 different ones are:

Pittsburgh at Home.... I can't see the Steelers losing at home especially the opener.
I actually flip / flop on this game a few time.... but Pitts at home and Ryan had a bad pre-season)

Philadelphia... Green Bay is the popular pick but again the Eagles are at home...Kolb will be good....

San Francisco.... my favorite pick on the board... really good and solid team playing Seattle... this is a gift...

    Good luck buddy...

surprisingly it was 10 guys.. and i ended up with that team!! the first round was nuts!!!! so many shocker pics. i picked 6th overall, the worst spot in a 10 man draft. I'd rather be 1, 2 9 or 10 as you can plan your next pick as well. at 6 there are 10 picks between picks and you don't know who is going to be avail i wish i had 10th pick. The guy at 10th picked turner and then picked up andre johnson (wicked for your first two picks)

where were our leagues top 10 picks. 1, fine makes sense but how did peterson fall to me to 6th?? Why take brees over rogers? the dallas clark pick was a complete bone head move lol!! Jones, turner and gore being the last 3 picks was nuts as well. I made a few mistakes in my draft I think. When i took gates, Arian Foster (RB HOU) was still avail.. but i didn't think he would go so early. When I took Big ben, Percy harvin was still avail and everyone told me afterwards that they weren't even looking at Ben.. Spiller in the 9th round was a wicked pickup and was surprised he was still there. I hope he plays really well so I can use him as trade bait as I already have three solid backs but we have a flex spot so i'll need three backs every week unless on my RB bye weeks i go with three WRs. I shouldn't have drafted heath miller with my last pick as I already have the best TE and should have picked up the CIN def so I could pick between D's every week.

    Johnson (RB TEN)
    Drew Brees (QB NO)
    Ray Rice (RB BAL)
    Aaron Rodgers (QB GB)
    Dallas Clark (TE IND)
    Adrian Peterson (RB MIN)
    Peyton Manning (QB IND)
    Frank Gore (RB SF)
    Maurice Jones-Drew (RB JAC)
    Michael Turner (RB ATL)

I am in two FF leagues, both 12 team leagues.

    Team One (12th pick)

    Philip Rivers
    Reggie Wayne
    Wes Welker
    Jonathan Stewart
    Steven Jackson
    Visanthe Shiancoe
    Terrell Owens (flex)
    Chicago D
    Joe Nedney (K)

    Team Two (3rd pick)
    Alex Smith
    Ray Rice
    Jerome Harrison
    Roddy White
    Greg Jennings
    Dallas Clark
    Panthers D
    Sebastian Janikowski (K)

Little different setup for each league.

Question...I moved T.O. into the flex position this week, because the Bengals are playing the Patriots, who have no pass rush and a very young and inexperienced secondary. My other option is Marion Barber, who I am worried will split the load too much for the Cowboys. What does anybody think about this?

Second...I know that the second team looks kinda weak at QB, but I sort of got stuck in a bad spot. There were only those mediocre, second tier QB's available, so I went with Dallas Clark as a pick in that spot. My backup is Roethlisberger, so after Week 5 I feel like I'll be really strong. Hopefully Smith will play well against Seattle and St. Louis in two of his first games.

Also...I switched Jerome Harrison into the lineup to replace Arian Foster for this week. Thoughts?

    OK,

Since I can't see Donny's picks for the Pointspread from work....here are my picks from one of my tickets. This is a "Upset and Close ones" Ticket

SF -3.5 (Sea sucks in all areas)
ATL -1.5 (PITT has a great D...but I think ATL squeaks one through)
SD -4.5 (KC is still a work in progress...SD is not)
ARZ -3.5 (St. louis was a bottom dweller last year....Bradford is still a rookie)
HOU +1.5 (Hou played them close last year twice....now they have a run game. They finish it this time)
CLE +3.0 (TB is terrible...CLE is much improved)
DET +6.5 (I think these teams are evenly matched now...enough to cover the spread anyways)
CIN + 4.5 (Pretty evenly matched except for RB's...the edge goes to CIN for me....I don't care that NE is at home and Brady is 22-0 at home (or whatever stat that is)
BUF +3.0 (MIA's schedule is brutal coming up...I think they take BUF for granted and BUF keeps it close)

Jeff, taking a road team is risky, and I'm a balls to the wall guy. Lol so just beware of the dreaded week 1 upsets.

New Orleans is actually a great play for this week.
