Rex Ryan has a foot fetish. So does my brother. I don't get it. Elbows are way sexier.

This Bears Jets game is great. Cutler is showing all his personalities in this game. Good, bad, aweful, great . . . . . Saku must have a heart attack every time Jay drops back to pass lol.

Kudos to the NFL for perhaps the worst rule oversight I've ever seen. Seriously, there are no options available to the Falcons when the referee spots the ball a full yard in front of where it should have been? (It was inside two minutes, so all replays go through the booth...but apparently it's not a reviewable play since the result was not a 1st down.) But you know what? 3rd and inches is a lot easier than 3rd and 1.

    Ridiculous.

You are an optimistic soul. My sense is that the Saints will not repeat. They're just not sharp. Yesterday's game was a perfect example of that. The Pats aren't perfect either, but they have been more dominant even against good teams. My money is the Pats to win.

If the Patriots indeed win the Super Bowl, Tom Brady would go down as the greatest QB in the history of the game.

And Belichick will have confirmed that he is one of the all-time great coaches, especially when you consider the number of rookies and cast-offs with which their success this year has been accomplished.

Yeah, a bunch of nobodies. And Tom Brady. Give Brady to the Dolphins, or the Raiders, or the Redskins, etc., and they'd all be playoff teams. Belichik is for sure a great coach, but it's a QB's league and he's got the best.

To be senile he'd have to be alive. I think it's a 'Weekend at Bernies' kind of situation.

Two weeks ago the Saints played a perfect defensive game vs Atlanta, today they make Matt Hasselbeck look like Joe Montana. wow.

Well, Vick ended up being pretty much the same player in that playoff loss that he was back with the Falcons. If you can take away the big play and cut off the running lanes and make him think quickly, then Vick is reduced to a very average pocket passer. Easier said than done, but it's what teams were able to do in the last 4 or 5 games against the Eagles.

Actually, if you throw out the game against the Redskins and the fourth quarter against the Giants, what was his season, really? A great one? Nah, a good one. But a lot of QBs had a "good" season.

I'd be very apprehensive about giving Vick a long-term contract if I were Eagles management.

Anyone notice how beat up Vick looks at the end of a game? I had this pointed out to me today...Manning, Brady, Rogers, etc., at the end of the game, all of them look like they could play another game. Vick looks like he's been beaten with a shovel over and over.

Vick went up against a very talented Defense and lost. Had Akers not decided to play like a 3rd string high-school kicker, that game could have went either way. A quarterback lives and dies by the final score of the game, but that loss belongs on many more shoulders than Vick's. Dropped passes, penalties, a complete lack of Run defense on a 3 or 4 drives, Celek not paying attention to his position in the endzone on the 2pt convert....
Let's put a Smile on that Face!

This is a team that is supposed to overwhelm the opposing D with all of their speed, and score more than 16 points.

I'm not saying Vick "lost" the game. Obviously a lot of factors go into the outcome of the game. I'm saying that the Eagles have a tough decision going forward. From what I'm reading, it appears that they will put the franchise tag on Vick and have him "audition" for one more year. Can't say that I disagree with that move.

Really... did you see Manning at the end of the game??? I hope Vick is tired at the end of the game... all the players should be really tired at the end... or they didn't play hard enough.

Because Vick is too proud to SLIDE and avoid taking a beating. He's always trying to break tackles and fighting for that extra yard. You'll rarely see Brady and Manning dive headfirst for an extra yard. Heck they'll even go down voluntarily prior to contact if they know a defender is going to sack them. Vick should take note.

I remember when the St Louis Rams were the greatest show on turf, 1999 to 2001, the WR's Bruce and Holt would dive when defenders came to tackle them. It was a sissy way to play football, but they were great for a long time because they avoided injury. If Vick did the same he wouldn't have to miss 4 games per season.

I just realized my bears get seattle! This will go down as the softest route to an NFC divisional final in NFL history.
