Golf trip
We are a foursome planning a golf trip next october in the US. We have not decided yet where we will be going. Obviously, Myrtle Beach is on our list. But I was wondering if any of you have been to any other destination (by car) where we can get similar golf package for the same price?

pinehurst
pinehurst is a little bit closer than myrtle beach, about an hour south of raliegh..
you dont have to play the expesive pinehurst resort courses, unless you want to,
there are lots of other courses in the area that are really nice.
the difference we found is there is elevation change on these courses..
the pit, tobacco road, little river are just three examples of courses that are really
worth playing..you can also go to a site called golfholes.com..there you can pull
up pictures of courses in pinehurst and several oter areas...the only thing we
found about pinehurst that might be a minus is that there s not a whole lot to do
compared to myrtle...other than that its worth a look..

Golf trip
We have been going to Santee for 2 years now and compared to Myrtle Beach it is cheaper and there is no problem playing 2 rounds a day. Check Santeegolf.com that's through who we always book and they have great deals going on.

Santee
I second Santee. Our group detoured to Santee on our way to the Masters this past April and we found the area to be an excellent location. We played Santee National And Santee Cooper. Both courses were very nice and our package was cheap. IMO Santee Cooper was a nicer track but both were above average courses.

a vote for Myrtle
been going with a group for 6 years now every spring. Lots of great golf, nightlife, shopping, beach, ocean, etc. etc. and not that expensive, depending on where you play....
