2 distinct nines. Front is very hilly, with some spectacular holes (2, 4, 5 & 7). It's similar to other hilly tracks in the Gatineau but the back is flatter and more open, spreading out over the valley floor.
Have a look at the Course Tour http://www.ottawagolf.com/montstmarie/index.htmLife dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Thanks Dan. I have checked the hole by hole a couple times. Any thoughts on the greens? Good speed?

don't remember the greens being overly fast in the past.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Sorry I have not played there in a few years. Hopefully someone else will help. At least your 6 hour intersectional round will have views. It is a beautiful course.

Greens are small, roll true not extremely fast if comparing to something like Camelot. There are some subtle breaks that the mountain seems to affect on the back nine (13 and 15). Course is under new management and is in much better shape, doing work on drainage etc. Sand traps are still tough to figure out. Sand acts more like topsoil, some are a lot thicker than others.
Yardage markers are good, lots of elevated greens so club slection is all carry. Usually wet in front so rolling ball on in most cases does not work. Par 5 16th hole has small narrow green to land ball, almost impossible to stop it. Play out to left and use better angle to come in on....if you want pm me with other questions.
What time do you guys play? Good luck!

My father in law is a member there, and a friend of mine is one of the new owners. I haven't played yet this year, but I was there for breakfast on the weekend. They've made some really nice improvements to the clubhouse, and the huge deck with a glass railing overlooking 18 green will be perfect for the Intersectional matches. My father-in-law says the course has never been in better shape. I think you're in for a treat. I'd like to hear a review afterwards, as I plan to play there in a week or two.

The front is a lot of fun, the back is so-so, nice but flat and pretty wide open, and kinda back and forth.

The course is in excellent shape. The greens are very receptive and rolls the ball very true. The fairways are lush and looking greener than ever. As mentioned above, there are two distinct nines on this course with some very scenic holes (#15 is picturesque).

Course was in great shape. I would have liked to see the greens be a lot quicker but overall the course was nice. My opponent from there beat me by out putting me in circles. I shot -1 35 on the back but couldn't shake him.
