    Callaway FT-9 Driver Input

    Hi everyone,

I am looking for feedback from anyone out there who has tried an FT-9...

I currently use a Tour Edge Exotics and am thinking of replacing it with the FT-9.

    Thanks for the input.

i love mine (draw bias, 10 degrees, stiff shaft). it's a very forgiving driver, has a big sweet spot and ball goes very far. the past two rounds at Stonebridge i hit 11/13 fairways. most people have nothing but good things to say about it. http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/...-tour-drivers/

golfdigest also rates it very high.
You only get out of something what you put into it

I got mine from nokids and put a Matrix X-con6 in it and love it. Best driver so far.

    Ft 9

Never a big fan of Callaway.

However bought a Demo of one recently as it had my shaft GD (neutral 10.5 tour).

I liked it and noticed that to get the most of it I had to tee the ball a bit higher than I do with my other drivers 905R & Tour Burner.

It got appropriated by one of my sons who can really bomb it.

I have the i-Mix version and have recently put a Whiteboard in it. I haven't hit a better driver IMO. Especially with the new shaft I don't think I have hit it further.

If you get an iMix one, I have a Fubuki shaft if you want to upgrade it to a great shaft.

I have a buddy who got fitted for one at a demo day last year, and now he's blowing it past me almost all the time. Its actually driving me nuts. I've lost 20 yards, he's gained 20. Sad sad sad.

This all sounds very interesting, perhaps I should purchase one!
I always see a bunch of clubs (I think from Callaway as well) as Kevin Haimes, can you test it out there?

You can get fitted for a driver there. They utilize the imix technology to fit you with the right shaft and driver head.

Can't complain. Long and straight for me. Nice flight to the shot as well, not too high.

I spent last season out at about half a dozen demo days testing various make ups of the FT-9 and other makes and models.

I ended up with an I-Mix setup with a FT-9 Draw 10* with a Bassara UL 53 Hawk shaft (stiff).

    Love it.
