i'm engaged!!!

another one bites the dust... i'm up next.

How do you propose to someone who designed their own ring and knows when its coming? we had weddings the the two weeks prior and two weeks after a free weekend.. so she knew. i had the ring guy tell her that because of the increased pollishable area, it would be delayed 3 weeks.

We had been wanting to go rock climbing for the last two years but never got the chance so i suggested it and she took care of all the arrangements. Also, I got her a spa package for two a few months back and she never used it so i told her i could really use one so we went for a spa day in the morning. I didn't shave and dressed like i was going rock climbing so she wouldn't suspect anything. i was also a little mean to her in the morning to throw her off if she suspected anything. After going to the spa, we headed downtown to climb. Everyone at the rock climbing place was in on it an hour into our lesson we ran into a photographer friend of mine who was doing a shoot there for the joe rock heads website and he asked her could take a few shots of us to put on the website. He said, i'll come find you guys when you start climbing and we'll take a few pictures. So, when we were ready, he came over and climbed all the way to the top of the 50 foot wall and started filming us climbing (in HD) and when we got to a certain spot he switched to photography mode. I had a chalk pack on my belt which I had asked for earlier, which she laughed at me for.. "look at you, thinking your all professional", and in it they had put the ring. So i pulled it out held it out for her when she had turned her head. when she turned around and saw the ring she was really confused and didn't know what was happening and then it hit her. she started shaking and crying. I put the ring on her finger and we left . in the car she said, "you know, you never got on one knee and asked me if i wanted to marry you" i said "crap, i was so nervous i forgot"

we went to my old apt to grab my mail and went to the rooftop to see my old building super who i said i wanted to thank because he helped with a few things... and when we got up there there was a big X on the ground and a table with chilled champagne and two glasses. She started crying again. Why The "x" on the ground... ?? I had met her in the lobby of my old building and that X was directly over that spot. Me and my super had used the elevator shaft to find the exact spot. I pulled the ring off her finger and said I know I didn't get on one knee and ask you because i wanted to do it there. I said what i wanted to say and she started crying again. She said yes, we went to dinner Then We went to my aunts house to show her the ring and then to her house to show her parents. When we got there, her brother, sister in law, parents and her grandmother were there with cake, coffee and some other goodies and we just chilled with them for the rest of the night.

forgot to mention, the wedding is in jan 2011 and we are doing it Mayan riviera, Mexico!!! should be 100 family and friends. its gonna be one big booze fest!! my goal is to have the Mexicans ban Indians from taking all inclusive vacations to their country. We are gonna drink all their beer!!! cause a shortage and drive the price up on coronas

when I saw the drawings for the ring i wasn't sure but when the ring guy sent me a pic (i couldn't wait to see it when I picked it up) i was blown away. she did a great job. she is very artistic
