Golf Liquidation centre on Stafford Rd.
Hi all,
I keep seeing advertisements in the Sun for some bankruptcy sale on Stafford Rd. Has anyone been to this?
Thanks

There is Bob's Golf at 1 Stafford Rd and the phone number is out of service so you can be pretty sure that its the one. You can take a chance and go over but if it is liquidation it may only be open weekends. Let us know if there is anything good,
Good luck,
Lucas

Not sure about that proforged. I saw the ad today and it was opened during the week last week. It is Bob's old store.

Well, I had heard they were having their final auction off of all the items last Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with no reserve on any of the items. I never go there though so I could easily be wrong. I thought the ads in the paper this week were for the Golf Liquidation sale that appears regularly at the old Talisman Inn.

Yeah, it looks like Bob's Golf has now become Tin Cup Golf, an alleged golf liquidating company... Haven't been there myself. Note sure if I want to. But I'm weak...

I went there last weekend, and I picked up a clone of the taylormade hybrid. They have a simulator set up so that you can try them out. It is set up generously, it showed me getting 210 yds out of the clone, in real life I get 185. Are they deals? Well the clone was $80.00 and is 100% clone, but it had a PRO FORCE 75 GOLD shaft and I do hit it well. Also it has a fairly high swingwieght and I am sure that helps. Now, Chucks has the Ben Hogans for $119.00 so it not a huge saving.
Its worth a look, but don't expect a lot, its mostly clones.

Talked with the young salesman early this summer when I fisrt saw the "going out of business sale" and he told me that they were going to be known as "tin cup golf" instead of "Bob". Wasnt any deals to have there.

I went there and tried the clone hybrids as well. I was pretty sure the Sim was set to - very generous - as I was hitting a 16 degree hybrid 235 yards which is simply not within my capabilities.
Take your own clubs as a benchmark before you get excited about the big gain in yardage on thier Sim!

Sounds like they try to sell that club to everyone through the door
I too was in there recently. I too was shown the clone hybrid.
The older salesman was trying to convince me that it is an ideal club to attack pins from 230+ yards. The sim had me hitting the 16* about 245 yards, with less than 5 yards of roll. Not sure I have ever seen a club produce that result on a course.
