    Ping Iron Angle Mis-Hits Question

I tried to find this on the ping site, but the video wouldn't load. So here is my question. If the degree is to upright will misses tend to be left or right?

I believe upright promotes a draw and flat produces a fade.
At least that's how I remember being fitted.

If your lie angle is too upright your misses will tend to be to the left for a right handed golfer. When the lie angle is too upright the toe of the club will be off the ground causing the heel to hit the ground. As the heel strikes the ground it will slow that portion of the club down and the toe will continue on, closing the face and having your miss hit go to the left. A simple test is to apply electrical tape to the bottom of the club and hit some shot off a lie board or some other firm surface. The mark that is left on the bottom of the tape will tell you what part of the club is hitting the ground. The other way to check if you dont have tape and a lie board is to hit some shot off the grass after you have put a bit of water down where the ball is. When you take a divot you will be able to see if the dirt mark is level across the face or if it is on a angle.

Long and winded but I hope this helps

Short irons will be mostly affected by directional control.

Will it be a pull left or a hook?

Pull but the ball will hook a little as well. A push will slice a little
