    Buckingham Condition

Making my first visit to this course this weekend...anyone played there lately and
what is the condition ? Probably will be rained on this Sunday so hopefully the course drains well and not like Champlain or Kingsway Park on the Gatineau side.

Also I am trying to map the course but having problem figured out where hole #4 is .
On the satellite map, after hole #3, is #4 straight away to the left or you need to turn to the right ?. It makes sense that I go right because #5 par 3 is on the right..else it's a long walk between #4 and #5.

    Thanks

HELLO GOBBLE IT,THE COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE LIKE MOST OF THE COURSES IN THE AREA. GREENS ARE ARE REALLY NICE THIS YEAR AND FAIRWAYS ARE IN FANTASTIC CONDITION. STAY OUT OF THE ROUGH STUFF( its a bit thick) AND YPOU WILL BE FINE.
HOLE NUM. 4 IS A VERY SHORT WALK FROM NUM. 3.WHAT YOU WILL SEE AFTER NUMBER 3 HOLE IS AN EXTRA PAR 3 HOLE WE USE WHEN WE HAVE TO SHUT DOWN ANY OF THE OTHER HOLES ON THE COURSE FOR REPAIRS ETC...IT WILL BE LOCATED ON YOUR LEFT SIDE AS YOU WALK BY ON YOUR WAY TO THE NEXT HOLE .NUMBER 4 HOLE IS TOUGH PAR 5 WITH 2 CREEKS TO GO OVER. SOME ADVISE IS TO PUT IT IN THE FAIRWAY AT ABOUT 230 YRDS AND YOU WILL HAVE A LAY-UP SHOT TO THE NEXT CREEK WITCH IS ABOUT 90 YRDS IN FRONT OF THE GREEN,UNLESS YOU CAN HIT A 250 YRD CARRY SHOT ONTO A VERY DEEP AND NARROW GREEN WITH A COUPLE OF BUNKERS ON EACH SIDE.IT DRAINS PRETTY WELL WITH VERY FEW WET SPOTS.ENJOY YOUR DAY AND WE MIGHT EVEN BUMP INTO EACH OTHER.

what an interesting concept.. a spare unused hole to allow for midseaon repairs without affecting the experience, great idea.

Its an interresting concept for sure.We have had a few holes redone in the past years and this has inabled us to play 18 and adjust accordingly for hdcp. purposes. We have a great club president who has a vision of what a good course should be and he runs a tight ship.A lot of money has been put back into the course and it shows. We plan to be there for quite a few years.

Have to delay the visit ..I didn't know the club uses some sort of drawing system for tee times. I called early in the week and wanting to book 6-9am for Sunday..They said call back today for tee time. Today the pro shop said ..your tee time is 11:45am..take it or cancel..I guess there is always the next time.

Yes,it is unfortunate but with 400 members who all want to play at around 10:00 it is impossible to accomodate everyone. It is a fair and just system that prevents a group of people from monopolizing the best tee-times on the weekends.Hope you get to play it soon.

Hey GOBBLE-IT------Mark lives on the course We played Monday and it was in great shape-----fairway boundaries starting to show a little brown but after the rain this week it should be back in great shape.

Try to get a round in during the week----------------the weekends are very busy. You will not be disappointed
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

Hey Marcos, hopefully the shake didn't do any damage to the course?
