    Scotty and golf town

So i deceided to bring my newport mid slant 2. to golf town. to send to the spa.
after talking to the young man and telling him refurbish and sublime green everything (about 30 mins). I get a call today from golftown stating scotty cameron will no longer take refinishing orders from them, and i'd have to do it through the web.

I wanted to send through them because its easy and fast.
Anybody run in to this before.
    or have any idea why.
    Chicks dig it.

Personally I don't know why you wouldn't just send it in yourself. I can't imagine that GT would necessarily have any more pull than a regular customer.

FYI: Just send the head 1) it's cheaper 2) they will replace the shaft anyway

Picked it up today spoke to the manager.
Scotty will refinish for golftown. but not customize.
    IMHO
Me thinks a dristributer has been caught selling customized clubs.
Thanks for the input saint. I think i will go that route.

I always thought that GolfTown sent the putters to Titleist (and not the Custom Shop) for refinishing? Titleist has its own, separate service.

sent in yourself directly to Titleist or Cameron - call and tell them it's coming - for the most part GT want to sell you a new putter - they move clubs - I can't see them sending clubs away. Alterations, gripping, re-shafting in house just fine for GT

If you are sending it in to Cameron I would suggest completing the online form before you send it. I have never sent one in but I am sure they request that you send it with the putter.
