    Loch March

Played Loch March today for the first time this year. It is in superb condition - best I have ever seen it. All of the people we met - starter, marshalls etc were very friendly. Only complaint would be the bugs were voracious and the geese are too numerous.

    Best course for the buck

I love Loch March. Considering its condition, setting, facilities, it is by far the best value out there.

    Played today

Agree with you that this is the best value for the dollar course I regularly play. The greens are fast, fairways are in great condition, and the rough is usually manageable. They even cut back the high rough in front of the trees on the right at 14. Found 4 balls while looking for mine but of course didn't find my own and ended up with a triple :reallymad .

Why is it that the balls you find are never as good as the ones u lose?

Anyone have suggestions for other courses that give this same value for our hard earned dollars?

If you are up for the drive..... Mont Cascades has many deals:

$25 after noon or before 9:00am on weekdays
Seniors 55+ is $22 Monday thru Thursday
    $17 after 3:00pm everyday

Thanks for the info, played Emerald in the Spring and it was good then, will have to get back there again soon.

Had one round at Mont Cascades last year and the 3 pm deal sounds great.....now if I can only convince my boss to hold an off site meeting.

That's good to hear. I have a friend who played it and said that they had moved to 7 minute tee times and the front nine took just over 3 hours to play after teeing off just before 8 in the morning. They had an afternoon round scheduled for Eagle Creek, and had to leave after 9.

Can't really respond to speed of play - we were a threesome and were first off at 6:28 Despite looking for some balls we were finished by 10.
