nokids, quite the optimist lol. Yea, I won't be claiming to break 80 until I do it cleanly as well, which should be soon I hope. I only reference my adjusted score when I talk about entering it for my handicap.

i dont keep gross scores anymore, only adjusted scores. once i reach ESC on a hole (hardly ever), i move on to the next hole.

for example; i was with Denis at Manderley, it was really busy and slow, we all hit our teeshots and mine was a perfect shot which faded nicely to follow the dogleg right. i get up to where my ball should have been, and no ball to be found. i suspect the group ahead picked it up even though i waited until they were off the course and went into the dogleg right. anyway, i couldn't find my ball which meant i had to go back to tee off again, instead i put the max ESC (6) and did not finish the hole.
