Interesting situation, 1 swing 2 balls

I was wondering if there is any penalty for hitting another ball that is not visible when swinging at your own ball. I saw that happened to Phil Mickleson at Quail hollow I think, he swung at his ball in thick rough and 2 came out. In this situation the players ball was near a hazard on mushy ground but sitting on top. Only one ball was visible. He swung and his ball flew across the green but his follow through after his ball must have hit another ball under the ground and it came out.

This situation is covered by a specific decision, too lazy to look it up right now.

Basically is says that if you are making a stroke at your ball and in the process you hit another ball which is not visible there is no penalty.

The important piece is that you must be making a stroke at your own ball when striking the other ball occurs.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

    Decision 15/2.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.
