    Tour putters

What's the difference between normal Scotty putters you get at GT and the "Tour" Scotty putters? Different weights...what else(beside the price)?

On the Studio Select, Kombi, Kombi S some different engraving on the head and weights...not sure about tour california putters...Headcovers are different as well.

But this is the tip of the iceberg...a lot of tour putters never make it to retail, or are made of different metals, and come with "tour only" finishes, stamps, paintfill and initials...

    Hope this helps.

that helps...didn't know they would use different metals...interesting. Are Tour putters made specificly for a certain tour player in mind?

Depends on the player. Some will pick up a generic tour putter and throw it in the bag, others will spend time with Scotty having the putter tweaked to their liking. This can include grinding, bending and different sight lines/dots.

As for different metals, Camillo gets a Circa 6 in GSS (German Stainless Steel) where we can only get the carbon steel retail version.

Others get "experimental" tour only finishes, like Adam Scott's putter this weekend at the Valero in Texas. He was using a studio select with "experimental black oxide" finish. Only tour for now, until they can get it to adhere properly to stainless steel without flaking off.
