I guess I should pull my 4w then... since I barely use it but the only reason I don't use it much is because I've gotten longer off the tee and never had to hit a second shot over 220... that was pretty simple. But it ruins my master plan. When I start playing the back tees the 4w is going to be important. Also, I had planned to get a strong 3w as well so I would have driver, 13*, 17*

club selection is so much fun but what a headache

    Finally a set bag

I know this is a cardinal sin, but i think i might finally have a set bag:

TaylorMade R7 8.5* with Accra SC 75 Stiff
TaylorMade R7 15* with Accra Tour 70 Stiff
Titleist 904F 17* with Accra SC 95 Stiff
    TaylorMade 300 Forged 3-PW with Rifle 6.0
    Cleveland 588 53* GW with Rifle 6.0
    Cleveland 588 60* LW with Rifle 6.0
Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport 2/Sante Fe Tei3 3X Black Ox

All irons are 1/2" above standard and bent 3* upright with Golf Pride Velvet grips.

I will be alternating a SW for the 3 iron depending on if i feel i need to put the SW back because the gap is too big. Also getting the 4w (17*) bent to 18.5* to fill the gap better between the 3wood (15*) and the 3+ iron (21*)

    Hey everybody,

I'm new to this site and therefore this will be my first post. I stumbled into here while searching for a way to rust my RTG faster, and am glad I ended up here. This seems like a fantastic site, and I look forward to spending more time here in the future! I am a golf nut, so I think I have found the perfect site! Anyways, enough chit-chat, here is my bag:

    5 Wood - Taylor Made 200 Steel 18* w/Royal Precision Rifle Steel Shaft - S-90- 42''

Welcome aboard, nice solid driver you own, I just traded one of those. Not because I did not like it, I just was not using it. I had one a few years ago and loved that thing. Still have my Supersteel 3 wood with the S90 Rifle. Great 3 wood

How do you like the big ben. I just got one (9.5 draw reg graph) and love it. Thought it was average at 1st but a lesson at Callaway during a fitting improved my grip/swing so much, now it flies.
P.s. I also carry a cft hybrid (2 & 4) love them. Too many clubs in bag, thinking of dropping one but don't know which (should I buy/trade for a 3h? Meet in the middle, sell others)??

My sig shows my current setup. Shark

    bag change, AGAIN!!

That's funny that you should say that because i have changed the bag since then. I traded the R7 driver for a R5 neutral with Graff Prolaunch 75X. I will likely swap the shaft for a UST V2 stiff because i feel the Prolaunch launched the ball too high. I also got rid of the R7 fairway wood because i didn't like the look of it, and wasn't hitting it good. I just picked up a Cally Warbird 15* with Mercury Kevlar shaft. I think i am also changing this shaft for a Accra SC75 M4(stiff), just am not feeling the shaft.

Cool Sorry--Cleveland cart bag has fifteen slots!

    13.5º, 44" driver: Ping G5 Fujikura Vista Pro 60

    18, 22, 25º fwy metals: Nicklaus AirMax 35S Fujikura Vista Pro 60

18º driving iron: Mizuno Fli-Hi II Fujikura Banzai

    #s 5-7 irons: Mizuno MP-60 UST Harmon CW95

    # 8 iron 1º weak Mizuno MP-60 UST Harmon CW95

    # 9 iron 2º weak Mizuno MP-60 UST Harmon CW95

50, 55, 60º wedges: Scratch custom grind UST Harmon CW95

63º dedicated sand iron: Lovett Tour Lob OEM graphite shaft

putter: flavor of the week, I'm afraid .

ball: Callaway HX, both "Hot" and "Blue"

I like a slightly shorter driver for accuracy and to compensate for the excessively upright lie angle on many of today's drivers. I also prefer old fashioned weaker lofts to modern stronger ones on my short irons. In the past I've gone 1 or 2º flat on a new iron set, but these
Mizunos did not feel excessively upright in their standard configuration.

As for the fifteen clubs, I'm strictly into recreational golf with friends, not competition.

When I do play in a social tournament, I usually pull the driving iron.

Invariably, I then screw up at least one "safety drive" with a fairway metal before the day is done.

I'm a pretty good fairway metal player, but I like that iron when I'm looking at a scary landing area from the tee.

It's all, like so many things in golf, in my head.

I have 16 clubs listed, so the 4wood will likely go, and depending on the course i will either carry the 3iron or the 52*

That's only thirteen clubs. I might get another 3 wood to use off the tee as a fourteenth club. The Ovations are nice from the fairway but I'm thinking teeing the Cobra up and then the Ovations down (because the face is so slim) might mess me up (although I'm not concerned about teeing it low on par 3's with the irons, so what am I even worried about?). I don't know. I changed my mind while posting. Darn.
