Her indoor place is on Campbell or Boyd and she runs her day camps out of Loch Martch and I think Greyhawk.

piece of advise...just let the kid have fun and smack the ball around at that age. Giving drills etc to them will only just take the fun away.
they can work on technique when they are older and can understand what it is you/they are trying to show them.
Just my 2 cents

Good advice, at four fun is more important. When my son first started out we went to the putting green almost every night and had a father-son practice time. I would chip to a pin and he would have to make the putts and then he would chip and I would have to make the putts. As he got older (maybe about 8) we would play a few holes every few days maybe only one or two holes. I always tried to hit a shot that was the same distance that he hit. He was always the one who wanted to go to the course each evening. At about 12 to 14 he took lessons from a local teacher
To this day he still plays golf with a wonderful long and short game.
That early time on the course were some of my (and I hope his) best memories of a game for a lifetime.Without risk there is no opportunity for glory

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to take him to the driving range to see how he does

A fellow player at our course plays with his kid boy since he was 2. He started out putting and chipping. At the age 4 the kid plays 9 holes at Hautes Plaines while walking. Don't know if you ever played HP but walking that course for a 4 year old kid is amazing. He even played 18 twice last year. Dad carried him on his shoulder for the last couple of holes.
Playing is what's important. I have a 5 and 7 year old daughters. They play with me 9 holes evenings here and there. The trick is to let them play and quit when they are tired. Eventually you will see if the talent and desire to play is there. If so then golf lessons are a good idea. Before then, usually you will kill the desire to play the game.
