Greensmere Legacy slope/rating?
Wondering if the new legacy course has a slope/rating yet? If not, how does one enter the round for handicap purposes?

The course is to be rated by the end of the month. I suggest you keep your scorecard and enter it when the rating is posted. How did you like the course????

Legacy is the old gold course and a new 9. The old gold course wasn't rated last year and the new 9 probably isn't rated either. You'll have to hold on to your scorecard until it gets rated. I think I read in another thread that Golf Canada/RCGA is coming to rate it soon???

Legacy is awesome, I love the newly added holes.
It really kicked the poop out of me though and my calves, I could barely walk the next day

Liked the course...will be very nice when the new holes have had some time to mature. The greens still need some time (but the 'gold' greens have come along very nicely now).
As a player who carries, I must say I was not a fan of the walk from 17 to 18. That's too long a walk for any point during a round, but particularly for the final hole. when the legs are already feeling it. I realize there was swamp to work around, but surely they could have come up with a better arrangement than that.

Played last Sunday and our wives kicked the shnot out of us. (By more than ten)
IMO there's a BIG difference between Black and White tees on this course Hopefully the ratings/slope will reflect this.
(Might have to move the women to the whites to give us a chance.)

bump, any ratings/slope released yet?
i played legacy today and there is wayy too much walking between holes. i'm riding cart next time. my own personal opinion is that i prefer the premier course, especially the back nine (black) which is lots of fun.You only get out of something what you put into it

What do you mean, too much walking??? You're just a youngster so it should be like a walk in the park for you. I walked it again this morning and will walk it most days except men's night when I usually do 27 holes.
Rating was done two weeks ago so I'm figuring that the course may see something this coming week. Just keep your card and enter the score later.

A few saturdays ago, I walked Legacy and Premiere, back to back, with a brief stop in the clubhouse for lunch. I was almost tempted to try and grab another 9 before it got too dark, but thought better of it as the sunburn was kicking in something fierce.
I'm far from an exemplar of fitness and health, so it can't be *that* bad. Whats your excuse?
As a very wise man once imparted to me: "Nut up, or shut up!"
On topic - looking forward to seeing the rating... less so entering those scores . Not sure if we'll see it in the next week though... I played Equinelle on Saturday, which was rated a week or two prior to Greensmere, and they still haven't heard back from the RCGA about it yet.Wannabe Golf
