$250,000 for Tiger Slam Clubs
http://cgi.ebay.com/TIGER-WOODS-IRON...item414f314b20
Anybody care to spot me 250K?

How could he possibly prove those are legit? Especially with the photos he has up on the auction. Even if $250,000 was like $2.50 to me, I would be hesitant in purchasing those.

Hmmmm. Makes me wonder how much the club Elin used in her Tiger Slam is worth.

Seller is supposedly Steve Mata, the former head of tour operations for Titleist.

Tiger says they are not the ones from those tournaments.

Pulled for sure due to the fact they are not real items that the seller is representing. How he managed to list them and have a shot at someone thinking they were really from Tiger's 2001 season is crazy. You may see them re-listed, just without the same description and doubtful for $250k

If you read what Woods said and the fact that Mata was identified as the owner I suspect they really are a set of Woods' irons but NOT the ones from the Tiger Slam. The Headline to the article linked above is very misleading...Woods never said they were not his irons but that they were not the ones from those tournaments.
expect to see them relisted with a different description

Sorry that I keep posting links, but I find this story fascinating. Mata says they're the real deal, and that he has a witness.

Even if they are the real deal, the guy's been ''out of work for 17 months''. Pretty sure that if I were to resort to selling things off of ebay to put food on the table, my wife would kick my butt.
If Mata was so concerned about not having these clubs sit in his basement/attic collecting dust, he would DONATE these clubs to the Golf Hall of Fame, and not try to make money off of them.
I too, would be ** if I were Tiger.Ambition is a poor excuse for not having enough sense to be lazy.

I would take these clubs with me to my cardboard box it it resorted to loosing my house etc... becuase of not working.
these clubs even if they arent the Slam clubs they are still a serious part of golf history. how many people can say they own a set used to win tourneys by Tiger Woods...
and if i was too afraid of a fellow bum stealing them while i was asleep in my cardboard box I would lend them to the Golf Hall of Fame.
