    Raleigh is a funny Hockey market... lots of Canadian living in the area... as for Anaheim... I would say it is not a true hockey market because when they start losing the attendance goes down... this year the Duck's attendance was around 15000... 24th in the league. No Canadian teams in the bottom 10 in attendance...

    I would argue that seeing a non-traditional hockey market hoist the Stanley Cup (like Raleigh) makes the league better. It helps to bring new fans into the sport, which is what hockey desperately needs. Hockey won't survive if it's not constantly gaining new fans.
