Pens in 5...Sorry Habs fans but your team has already overachieved. Penguins are not the Capitals.
Flyers in 6...Boston will have trouble scoring, Savard should not have returned.
Wings in 6...Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom = Proven Playoff Performers > Thorton, Marleau, Heatley = Never got it done.
Hawks in 7...Canucks 'D' is the deciding factor and it is the very suspect.

Flyers in 7. A hard physical series will take its toll on both teams though.
San Jose in 7. This is a hard one to pick. San Jose will finnally figure the playoffs out.
Canucks in 6. Bobby Lou will be the difference. A few overtime games in this one for sure.

I think the west will be tougher than the east. I can still see either Detroit, SJ or Chicago making it though my $ is on either Detroit or Chicago. Not sure anyone can play with the Pens now that the Caps are done.

I don't think so. The Western conf is very strong this year. To be realistic, any of those 4 teams can make it. It's really hard to chose but in the end I think SJ should get that monkey off their back. Winning against the Avs surely was a wakeup call. Detroit are surely getting tired with the two previous cup finals.

sharks outplayed the wings in the 1st period. 2nd and 3rd the wings the wings dominated. the sharks won the special teams battle, so wings lost. i doubt you stayed awake until midnight to watch the game like i did.

i love the wins, i would take them to pound SJ but i just have a feeling that the first round scared SJ to life and they finally know its do or die. Lots of talent, always choke.

and they played a game 7 two nights ago while the Sharks were home resting. They got in late to SJ after the game and had less than 48 hours before the next series started.

i give the pens a 20% chance of repeating. i think they'll make the finals because they are the best team left in the east; but it will be tough to beat the western winner without Staal in the lineup.

My brother in law knows Talbot and Giroux (Philly) and they are setting up a trip for next series to fly down to a Pits game and maybe fly to Philly if Philly eliminates Boston. A little bold considering the discussion took place only after game one of the Pits-Habs game.

Only saw the last 10 minutes. Halak made remarkable saves during that time and I guess he was all over it considering the shots on net Pits had. The Habs fortunately capitalizes on the limited chances they have.
