I built an indoor range in my garage.
I have designed and built an indoor range in my garage. My friends were sceptical at first but now come over all winter to use it. I purchased a net locally (8x10). All the materials excluding the mat cost me a little over $200. The mat was donated to me by a local pro (cost of range mat about $300). This same set up can be done in your back yard with the additional cost of 2 posts in concrete. I set the entire thing up in my garage in less that 30 miutes. The beauty of the design is that you can move it out of the way in less than 10 seconds. I will provide all the materials and set up instructions for a small fee. PM me if interested.

How I made my golf practice net and cage
Here are the things you will need to make a 10 x 10 x 10 golf cage and the sources.
a. #21 impact netting - 12 x 12 http://gourock.com/mcart/index.cgi?I...IT1074&code=13
($90 approx)
b. #15 side netting - 11ft X 35 ft http://gourock.com/mcart/index.cgi?I...IT1072&code=13
($55 to 60 approx)
c. Electrical conduit pipes 11 pipes 3/4 inch diameter, each 10 ft long.
($3.25 each) (Lowes or Home depot - buy from store..shipping is not worth paying)
d. Corner fittings 90 degree - 6 - Memphisnet.net https://www.memphisnet.net/product/9...es_moneysaving
(Single Golf Cage Galvanized Frame Fittings Kit $32 plus $12 to $14 shipping)
e. Nylon twine - strong enough to tie the nets or you can use any other way to tie the netting to the pipes.
f. Golf practice mats or you can build one using a really thick and dense carpet from home depot or lowes. 12 ft x 1 is what you need. cut it up into 3 pieces to make 4 x 3. Put it on a plywood plank. Spread some sand on the lawn/ground just outside the cage and place this plank on top of the sand.
