Set-Up Clubhead Lie Angle
I just bought a Stance Minder to be more consistent at set up. So now my set up must be right but...........if I attach a magnet rod to the face of my iron it points right of target (I'm a lefty). This is because the toe of the club is up off the ground. If I flatten the club by elevating the butt, the rod will then correct onto the target line. This feels awkward and must be wrong. I have been fitted for these clubs but this situation makes me think that I have too steep of lie on my irons. A flatter lie would correct this perceived problem and it would feel more normal at set up. Yes, I usually hit my irons to the right, which to me says a flatter lie would solve this. I guess my question is, " is it normal for the toe of your club to be up at address and does the physics of the swing flatten it out at impact?"
