Golf GPS for android phones
I have an android phone (HTC Magic) and I found a great app for $0.99 on the android market and installed it on my phone. It uses Google images to map golf courses and then you have your own little GPS.
It is an outstanding application, you can measure anywhere you are on the course to any target, for example, Reza is in the trees and wants to punch out into the fairway (again), he would simply touch the screen to his target and voila his exit is almost assured.
You can map any hazard, target point, and of course you can also map the green beyond the F-C-B of the green if you so desire. It took me about 20 minutes to map 27 holes at Outaouais and 10 for Sorcier.
Once mapped it is there for everyone to use. If others have androids we can update each other on what is available. I would say I save about $400 using my phone as a golf GPS, I can compare this information to the Callaway Upro, perhaps not as clear or pretty but then again its about 400 times cheaper.

Its really easy if you know the layout of the course your mapping, other than that you simply using your mouse to identify hazards and target points, takes me about 15 minutes max.

It does look easy. I splurged the buck and got it. I tired mapping Manderley in advance of my game on Sunday, but I can't figure out the layout.... Maybe I'm too tired.
I can't recall if Manderlay's scorecards show a map of all 3 nines so I know where the next hole is or not?!?!?

There's also GolfCard (10$) but it's definitely worth the price.
