Just post a link with a pic to the Burner driver you're talking about Marc. Shouldn't be hard to determine the year from that.

I called TaylorMade last week for a similar thing. I was thinking of buying a used driver but wanted to verify that it was real ( I was burned before)
After speaking to the guy I was surprised to hear that they couldn't verify. I tried to dig a little deeper by asking him
1 - Could he tell me how many times this serial number had been registered
2 - If the serial number belonged to a TM Tour Burner driver
3 - What shaft the club with the serial number should have had
He could not provide me with any of this information.
I think TM is their own worst enemy when it comes to counterfits. It can't be that difficult to dermine based off serial number of the club is real. If they are using a random sequence it would be very difficult to guess. If the serial has been registered more than say 5 times then its probably a duplicate. If the club does not have the proper specs (loft, shaft etc) then it may be a duplicate.
He told me to take it to a TaylorMade retailer and they'd be able to tell me if its real. I asked him why a TaylorMade retailer would have any interest telling me whether a used club was real or not when their prime interest is selling new stuff. I also asked why I should believe a guy at a retailer that has only been selling clubs for 6 months whether a club is real or not when even TM couldn't give me details on how to spot a fake.
