Fuji speeder 757 shaft?... and golf gripping help

Hey, I recently bought a Titleist 909 d2. I was thinking on swapping an old 757 speeder shaft that I have from a 983E and putting it in.

1-Is this possible? (I know theres something about hozelbore shafts and putting them into other things...since I tried to put it in a superquad head along time ago and was told I couldnt.)

2-What is this shaft even worth these days?

3-Is it worth swapping in for the stock Titleist Voodoo

I was also looking to get the new Lamkin n-dur grips, but they dont make these in Midsize...How many wraps would you need on a regular before it were feeling like a midsize? Are you limited to the amount of wraps you can have due to the diameter. The grips are .580, and my project x shafts are .600.

Ill upload a pic. Any information about either would be GREAT!

Not a problem if you are putting a .335 shaft in there. You can't put a .350 in a .335 bore but you can put a .335 in a .350 bore.
In your case the D2 is a .335
See http://golfworks.com/images/art/Titleist.pdf for shaft tip sizes.

If you have never reshafted such a driver I would recommend you take it to an experimented clubmaker as the replacement shaft has to be cut at an angle(or ground with a specialty nylon wheel) to meet the sole angle as this club is a bore through.

If you put a .580 on .600 butt the grip will be slightly oversize as the core is stretched. Therefore one layer of masking tape and one layer of gripping tape should do the trick.

Like Chieflongtee said, it is certainly do-able. The only thing to keep in mind is that the 983K is a bore through head and therefore about 3 inches of shaft is in the head, when you put that shaft into a standard bore through or blind bore, less of the shaft is in the head which will make the shaft frequency softer. So you can either tip trim to make it close to the stiffness of the 983 or get used to the shaft being a little softer tip.

Bring it to a clubmaker or club repair tech and they will worry about all the little details that make a big difference!
