Because the majority of PGA players dont want to play in the first tournament with him..

I thought the groupings were done according to how you finished the previous year so its a moot point, but I could be wrong, that would only be the 432nd time this year.

I checked the Masters web site and they dont have any info on how they do their pairings (other than the current champion ..... others who knows?). Anybody know????

There is no established system or procedure for determining who will accompany Woods at Augusta National Golf Club on April 8. Player pairings for the first two rounds will not be announced until the Tuesday of Masters week, or two days before the first 18-hole round.

On Wednesday, Augusta National officials would not reveal how they would go about choosing Woods’s playing partners other than to say the selection would be made by the club’s competition committee.
