Lessons?
Hello All,
I am looking to get lessons here in Ottawa.
If you know of a great instructor or company can you please post it. I would prefer something on the cheaper end.
Thanks,

My brother dwalker took lessons two season ago at Kevin Haime's. Not sure who the instructor was or the fees but whomever it was he wasn't paying them enough, because in a week he went from 10 strokes behind me to kicking my butt on a regular basis

Took my first lessons this past winter at Golf Town with Marc Lacombe - he was excellent. I already see positive results at the driving range.

Jay Prince @ Kevin Haime was great for me....if he's sees you on the range at any time after he's always good for some quick pointers as well.....

Props for Gregg here as well. Taking lessons with Joe Dubinski now and feel the best I've played.

I tried to book with Marc but he was booked solid so I tried out David Inch this monring for a lesson and was very very happy with the results. I was skeptical at first but have to say im a huge fan of video instruction to help identify my faults, by the end i could see a big difference. I was so happy I ended up booking a 3 lesson series with him before I left.

I would recommend Marc Lacombe at Golf Town during the winter. I have also worked with Colin Orr and Gord Percy this past season. Both are really good, but Gord really stands out for his feedback and follow up at the course. He is really interested in seeing everyone improve and makes it a priority to seek out students and offer advice as required.

I second David Inch. He helped me get my handicap down from 29 to 15 over two seasons.

Lesson length?
I am planning on going down to see Greg on this thursday...from those who have had lessons there (or anywhere else for that matter), what is better starting out? My index was around 16.7 finishing out last year, and I am wondering, for those with lesson experience, what is better? Are 1/2 hr lessons too short? are 1Hr lessons too long? I've never had a "formal" lesson...
Any input would be appreciated...Thanks in advance5 Time OG Team member for Ryder Cup

I think oddly enough that 45 minutes is perfect.

I think your best bet is to start with an hour. Depending on how you feel after the first couple, just adjust from there.

I think it's an hard game to master it. Just give a start as one hour or two hours. Then you might feel good. Even their are some golf lessons to start as well.

Greg Foley at Kevin Haime is really good. Lessons and a launch monitor will do wonders for your game.
