Played Prescott today the course is in great shape for this time of year, was impressed with the greens - it was a little cool with some snow flurries which made it that more enjoyable.
- Anyone play Champlain yet? They were to have 18 open today.

Played Casselview today, now there rates are $33, or $41 with a cart, easy to chose the latter. They have now cut there greens and they were faster but still slow overall. Also $10 dollars of your round in April.
It dried up a bit since last week, and the crew was tarping the greens on the front as we made the turn, preparing for this weather.
Gotta think the greens at Casselview are the best around (for now) from what I heard.
Anyone play Mapleview today?

The difference between involvement and commitment are like a egg and ham breakfast, the chicken was involved, the pig was commited.

i played sunday, and i'm trying to erase the experience from my memory bank. the putting is horrible due to aeration on the greens; ball bounces, changes direction, very very slow. the bunkers have no rakes and had leaves in them. the rest of the course was fine. i'll go back when the greens are in better shape.

Try Mapleview, its a drive but the greens are fine. Les Vieux is also aerated but I hear that Le Sorcier is opening this week.

I am trying to give alieviate some of your frustrations playing crappy greens, the other courses mentioned are pretty good, slow but pretty good. As for challenging you, I think we have that covered

I am free Thursday afternoon if you want to get out? I was hoping that Le Sorcier would open but I think they may have to wait until the weekend.

Played Les Vieux Moulins last thursday and the greens are shaping up slowly. They have cut them a few times and they are starting to fill out.Putting is not the greatest but some improvement.Fairways are not good in my opinion.Just too hard.Maybe the wet weather will help them a bit.

Casseleview is comming along nicely.Greens are still slow but they are the nicest ones in the area bar none.Fairways are also shaping up.A few forum members out there yesterday,NoBack,BogeyGolf and John.
Everyone was having a good time,I think.

I have gotten a chance to play Prescott and Champlain so far. Prescott was in great shape, and is a great course for early in the year not being all that long in distance, but the greens really impressed me they rolled excellent. As far as Champlain... lets be nice and say Not great. The greens were aerated and very bumpy where it was a case of just being happy with good solid putts, nevermind the end result as it was a case of Plinko out there. Only positive about Champlain was the price, $42 and you get your next round free as long as its played before April 30th.

Vieux Moulins
Met up with LeftyLucas at Vieux today, greens are bad like stated. Casselview is by far in the best shape as far as greens go.
Still 38 bones and you get a free round till end of April- hopefully the greens will heal by then.
Thanks for the game lefty- it was a pleasure - we played in 3 hours.....flying...

Has anybody had a chance to play Nation as of yet, I am heading out there Friday and was just wondering what the conditions are like.

DaveVanDyk and I played our second 'free' round at Champlain today... The course was absolutely drenched from the rain, and the greens still ran quite poorly. We had a lot of fun as we were some of the only few who decided to play this morning apparently. Nevertheless, looking forward to non-punched greens so I can drop a bunch of putts to break his heart.
I was 3 down with three to play, and managed to halve the match with him. I'll be holding lessons on 'closing' at your earliest convenience buddy!

How about Nation, how are conditions there. Last year they were pretty slow to get decent conditions but with the little snow we got maybe they are OK this year.
Chad let me know what it slike when you go friday!!Lefty Lucas
