All this proves is that there are golf writers out there who'll say anything for their moment of infamy. "Hijacking the Masters" - No one hijacks the Masters, least of all the press.

I'm not surprised by the comments from The Mirror and The Mail as these are pretty low tabloids but The Daily Telegraph and The Independant are high brow papers with excellent reputations...I'm very surprised they chipped in like this.

Earlier this morning that same article had another comment from a Toronto newspaper which has now been taken out.....

Went something like this.....

"On a positive note, Tiger made a good choice by starting his comeback at the Masters, since he his still on sex addict rehab and the golf club still bans women from playing there".

That's not really true.

There is definately two halves to the British Media. The VERY high end impartial reporting like the BBC (which is outsatnding for news coverage) and the good papers like The Times, The Telegraph, The Independant and The Guardian...

and then there is the total JUNK, the tabloid papers which unfortunately, and I'm ashamed to say, sell so well.

Unfortunately the only snippets we read here in Canada are from the JUNK, for the same reasons, they are provocative and sensationalist.

But please don't think all the media in the UK is poor...it has the very best AND the very worst all in one place
