I called and the phone was redirected to Champlain and I was told they had 9 holes open for $25 or play it 2x for $38. Where did you hear about Vieux? I much rather play there tomorrow than head all the way to Casselview.

Casselview
Played Casselview today, was joined on the Tee by Marcos and his lovely wife. Course was much dryer than expected, no carts allowed though. Greens were great considering everything but extremely slow. All greens were open.
We had several plugged balls in fairway and rough but usually found the ball maybe one or two left out their. Always wind blowing at Casselview.
Green Fee was 45 with a pull cart, lovely day to play and get some rust off.
The greenskeeper stated that they would close Friday and re - tarp the greens??? Not sure what forecast he see's??? But tomorrow looks great.
Also no food or bevi's on the course but my bag of Moosehead kept me going.....I figured a Green Bottle was quite fitting
We had the First Tee off in Ottawa and Marcos with the first Par posted in Ottawa, on #1, congrats....had a lot of fun...
Good Luck, hope this helps.

international 2000
bigeasy and i left for Golf International 2000 this morning at 6am ,for a 10:08 tee time and i was impressed for this time of year ,, the greens will definitely be slow but the fairways were pretty dry and this is always the first course to open up so all in all can't really complain about a day like that ,, great to play with a buddy and get some of that rust out,,,although bigeasy looked like he'd been playing in florida all winter ,hehe, at least my clubs are nicer then yours , heheh
But for some reason ,i was the only idot wearing shorts today , ,, ahh well

Is Champlain open too. I noticed on CG that they have spots available so I am assuming that they are open. Wish my clubs weren't in Florida

I just walked down the cart path at the Marshes on holes 7 & 8 (with a brief trip out to the fairway and green on one hole). Aside from the ample goose droppings and aeration plugs, the course looks to be in great shape. I'd go so far as to say that if they opened today they probably wouldn't need a cart path only rule. Of course, other areas of the course may be different.
Too bad the forecast for next week is crap.

1 set here as well....but I don't leave them in Florida.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I never let my clubs (my only set) get too far away from me. They've been in my trunk since I got back from Cuba Mar 1st.

Across the river from the ski hill, we could see how dry Calabogie course was, at least the part that we could see anyways... Also, found out Calabogie peak has 9 holes course right at the resort and dry! I asked the staff if I could go on the course. It was a rare day for us to ski in the morning and played a couple of holes that day!

I'd love to hear a Vieux Moulins or a Kingsway review.

vieux moulins
was there earlier today ,,and again , it's march and wicked to be out there.
As for the course ,, some fairways didn't have much water at all and just a couple had wet spots. But the greens were still punched and slow so the putting was tough.
