Adding length to Momentus Sand Wedge
Just call me an idiot with the Golf Channel and a credit card...(just kidding). I recently ordered a 56 degree Momentus Sand Wedge both as a training tool for my chipping and pitching, but also to play on the course (USGA approved). My problem is that (being 6'4"), it is two inches shorter than my current sand wedge.
My question is: can a 2" shaft extension be put on this club? The shaft currently weighs 220 grams and I don't really care about the extra swingweight that a 2" extension will bring as it is already meant to be a heavy club. My concern would be the strength of the 'weld' (excuse my clubmaker newbie lingo) where the extension meets the existing heavy shaft.
Also, if this can be done, is there anywhere in Ottawa that I can go to get it done>
Any help would be much appreciated.
