Goals for me;
1- Break 90 consistantly this year - had my first two sub 90 rounds last fall.
2- Keep my fitness up for the year. My shoulder problems from last fall have finally been fixed so I can resume/start weight training again.
3- Stop at the range twice a week to improve my game.
4- (For my wife) Control my Temper - which I have been working on last fall and so far this year in Varadero. - This should also result in more fun playing - (Accomplished by laughing/smiling at my bad shots)
5- Be Competitive at Greensmere's Men's league - my first league experience.
6- Get my first Ace - got my first Eagle (putting from green) last year.

Let's see...
- Shoot par this year (had a 74 last year)
- Get my index to 5 (had it down to 7.1 last year)
- Take some lessons again (it's been a few years)
But mostly to have fun and enjoy the day and the group I am golfing with.It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

TGC AmTour
I retired last July. Got the ok from the wife to sign up for the Am Tour on the Golf Channel. My goal is to win at least one in my flight. I would also like to earn enough points to get to play the National at TPC Sawgrass in the fall!!
On the home front I would like to get my cap back down from where it is now (6) to a (3). Personal best is 67 would like to beat that once. And break par 10 times in the summer. My best so far is 6 sub par rounds in one summer. At my age these may be tall tasks but, heck, what are goals for, anyway!!!
Have fun this summer my Canadian friends!!!

Now that my knee is feeling much better I would like to get my handicap back below a 2 and bring my g.i.r. back above 70 percent. Besides that I'll just enjoy the company and the courses.

The easier goals are:
Spend money on lessons not equipment
Practice much more than play
The more difficult ones are:
Hit 25% more greens in regulation
Reduce HC to single digit
These goals kind of blend into each other, if I take more lessons and practice more I will have a better chance to increase my GIR and that would help me reduce my HC.Lefty Lucas
I am abidextrous, I once golfed right-handed and now I shoot left-handed just as badly!

Never had any swing guidance, self taught swing so this year I am trying to learn the stack and tilt swing (via dvd's) and learn a "better" swing style.
My main goal is to stick with studying/working on the new swing.
-breaking 80-got to 82 last year at my peak then fell off
-keep getting better, made some strides last year and want to keep it going
-Play 70-100 rounds
-lose 15-20 pounds (mostly by walking 70-100 rounds)
-really work on putting greens
-

That's awesome! I see the ads for it all the time and wish we north of the border could be included. Let us know how it is, I'm sure they'll do a first rate job with it. If I can't take part, the next best thing I guess is living vicariously through someone else. Good luck!
