Andre and his staff and volunteers worked their butts off to produce a top notch tourney, which the players received.

Guess we can't play the tourney pins and deep rough after the championship again.....

Andre told me this in a conversation last week;
Jaques Burrelle is no longer the commisioner of the CPGA. Jaques was an enthusiastic supporther of the ECC.
There have been many other changes in the ranks of the CPGA. Without big sponsor bucks they will not continue the event.

Andre put up the $ himself for the first three years (probably why there is no clubhouse yet, Andre is more interested in the golf course and it's reputation) Last year Mr Burrelle was instrumental in getting the event established as the tour championship event, and the tour put up the prize money.

This change of the guard has ended all that. :mad:

I watched a great interview with Jaques Burrelle on the Golf Chanel a few month's back and I was impressed with this guys effeorts in trying to get the Canadiian Tour out of the bush leagues. Just like the CPGA .....I think you got another foot thats still OK. DUH !sas
