I believe these replaced the MX25. The next up is the mx 300. Have not tried them. From the specs on hitting them these two irons came up as my best compared to the R9, Cleveland, TP tour preffered.

scott...those are very nice irons and yes, they did replace the 25's which replaced the 23's. they look even better when you remove the blue decals on the heads.

Never thought of trying these clubs and i was impressed after hitting them. Is taking the decals off easy to do?

Surprised you are looking at the game improvement irons. you're a pretty good ball striker from what I remember, it was more the short game that killed you. I'd be looking at the AP2's and comparables. You don't want to out grow your new irons and the others will still be forgiving enough but you own't run into the issues with offsetting later on. Just my thoughts from watching you play.

Didn't think of it that way. Good point. It's still early before I make any decision. Any other iron suggestions?

Sure. MP-52, MP-57, Bridgestone CB's, Titleist CB's, AP2's,Callaway X-Forged, Nike VR Cavity. I think you would be surprised how well you can hit these. Out of the bunch i think the MP-52's and the AP2's would be an easier transition but I would tryout the 57's, Cb's and X-Forged before you buy anything.

first of all, I don't think you will outgrow the MX200's - at least not in the next few years. I'd be concerned that you get into too much iron for you, and make the game that much more difficult. I think anyone over a 10 could definitely benefit from the forgiveness of the MX200's. I have hit the 57's and owned a set a year or so ago and found they were tougher to hit consistently than my 23's, especially in the longer irons. What's the advantage to going to the 52's or 57's? Workability? Do you ever work the ball Scott? Don't make the game any tougher than it already is.

    What's your index Scott?

Problem with Scott from what I saw, is he's probably a single handicap ball striker with a 36 handicap short game. I remember him saying he was around a 20. Doesn't hurt to hit them all. You may like the look of the "better" players clubs or you might like the flight of the game improvements. My suggestion was to not limit yourself based on your handicap which is misleading on how you hit your irons.

Just my two cents on Scott's game. He has everything. He hits the ball well. He hits is a ton or even longer. And he can putt and chip. The only thing missing from his game is confidence. Espcially around the green.

Scott my friend, you have game, you just gotta believe in yourself.

Confidence is an issue with me I admit. But I am looking to change my BB06 irons. I figured it should be based on your handicap. I'm presently getting fitted again by Don at Artisan. Started with the driver and found out that I should be hitting a neutral or open face driver. Next is the irons. I just want to find something that suits me before the season starts. I like the look of the players irons more. They seem to give me confidence at address. But I don't want to have to change irons every couple years. Never considered myself a good ball striker ....thanks ....but I do want to improve and be able to work the ball a little. I just don't want to waste money on something that would not be beneficial to me.
