Without Tiger, golf is still good for TV
Television viewership will fall without Tiger Woods, but the networks that air the sport and the PGA Tour itself can handle the setback.

I will not stop watching, I really enjoyed seeing other stars come forward. I think it will make for a very interesting season and give the entire field some boost in confidence that will hopefully carry forward to when Tiger returns.

It survived during Tiger's knee rehabilitation, it will survive this.

I prefer to watch tournaments that Tiger isn't in. At least then the other players get some air time and we don't have to listen to so much Tiger talk.

I still really enjoy watching the golf...not becuase I don't like watching Tiger..I do, but I find that when he's in a tournament (even the 70% of them he doesn't win) there's just so much focus on him at the expence of everything else.
As someone said in another thread, I would rather watch Lee Westwood play a great shot than Tiger walking down the fariway eating a snack.

i only watch golf on sundays, and it doesn't matter if tiger is in it or not, i just want the final round to be close and competitive, one great shot after another, i dont care what their names are.

Judging from the posts in this thread it would seem many fans prefer watching Tiger-less golf.
He won the US Open with a broken leg, let's see if he can win The Masters with a broken heart.

i'd rather see the rest of the field step up their game to Tiger's level.
