Golf.com is reporting that Tiger is returning to 'therapy' after his statement tomorrow.

"As we understand it, Tiger's therapy called for a week's break at this time during which he has spent a few days with his children and then will make his statement before returning," Finchem said in a letter Thursday. "Accordingly, there was very little flexibility in the date for the announcement."

Golf.com is reporting that Tiger is returning to 'therapy' after his statement tomorrow.

Here's hoping Els feels a bit of regret for his statement yesterday, and everyone who thinks the motives behind the timing are born out of revenge to get back at Accenture.

In light of that I ammend my opinion of his timing of his statement...guess I was wrong.

Don't be so sure. This is the part that intrigues me:

"they told us they were timing it for Friday -- for whatever reason, it was important to go out this week,"

for whatever reason??? I don't know what that reason(s) is, but whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it's in the best interests of Tiger, and Tiger only.

I disagree with that last statment, there is no reason to chase his wife, his mom and his kids all around and make it hard for them to go to places. I think what they do to him and what they do to his family are 2 completely diffrent things. They did nothing but lets attack them. so wrong

I'm pretty sure he was crying when he was hugging his mom, but he had his back to the camera, wasn't conclusive.

I believe he is genuinely contrite, not an act. I'm not sure why the announcement had to be today, though.

I'm probably one of Tiger's harshest critics on this forum (at least for his off the course antics), however I think that he said the right things at the right time. What has happened and how the therapy is going is a personal thing, as is the work that is going on between Tiger and Elin. I don't think his gamily should be hounded, and him asking for privacy should be respected. As for his return to golf, I feel that his recovery should come first. He needs to make the decision as to what things are more important in his life and prioritize them. If his marriage is number one, then he needs to put his energy into that.

Did I feel the speech a bit scripted? Absolutely. Did it come form the heart? We will only know by his actions on and off the course as time passes. The one thing I like that he said was that skill was not the only thing that matters, but his conduct is part of the whole package (I'm paraphrasing here). It's really what I have been saying for years.

He was sniffling as he walked away from the mike. I think that there might have been some tears when they moved the camera away from a direct view.

From the sounds of it, he is headed back into therapy, so he may be heading there today for a while (back into seclusion) and he needed to quash all the rumours of when he may be returning. It may also be part of the therapy program.

The only question i would as then is do you have kids? if you do then i think you would know how angry you would get when someone is bothering them or attacking them.

hahaha. it was sooooooo inconclusive. when he hugged his mom i was sure he was going to cry, but when he shook hands with the rest of his friends his face seemed dry. i thought he cried as he was leaving but he had his back to the camera.
