if Tiger cries at the press conference tomorrow, i will donate $20 to OttawaGolf.com
i need conclusive evidence; a single tear drop on his face will suffice.

Buzz over Tiger is about talking
First came photos of Tiger Woods jogging. Far more compelling will be the sound of his voice.

Golf.com is reporting that Tiger is returning to 'therapy' after his statement tomorrow.
"As we understand it, Tiger's therapy called for a week's break at this time during which he has spent a few days with his children and then will make his statement before returning," Finchem said in a letter Thursday. "Accordingly, there was very little flexibility in the date for the announcement."

Before renewing their vows, Elin has insisted that Tiger sign a sponsors agreement with Fidelity Insurance, sing her favourite version of The Platter's "Only You," at the reception, use "Just For Today" as his clear key when he swings and erase his favourite song, "Torn Between Two Dozen Lovers," from his Ipod.

Don't be so sure. This is the part that intrigues me:
"they told us they were timing it for Friday -- for whatever reason, it was important to go out this week,"
for whatever reason??? I don't know what that reason(s) is, but whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it's in the best interests of Tiger, and Tiger only.Al Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.

I'll wait until I hear what he actually says but Tiger's clearly been out and about doing photo ops during the week, running, hitting balls at the range. If the return to 'therapy' is the reason he's making a statement today, he could have read it Monday or Tuesday if he wanted to.

Yeah that was my question, why the photo ops of him on the range that were staged if he is going right back to therapy instead of playing....oh well wont be long now! cant wait for the internet to explode after we hear his comments.

OMG ... I am not buying the apology, not from the heart and way to stiff and scripted, the only thing he is sorry for is the lost endorsements. He has no right to bitter at the media!

I disagree with that last statment, there is no reason to chase his wife, his mom and his kids all around and make it hard for them to go to places. I think what they do to him and what they do to his family are 2 completely diffrent things. They did nothing but lets attack them. so wrong

Tiger 'sorry' for behaviour
Tiger Woods told his family, friends and fans that he is "deeply sorry" for his selfish and irresponsible behaviour.

I'm probably one of Tiger's harshest critics on this forum (at least for his off the course antics), however I think that he said the right things at the right time. What has happened and how the therapy is going is a personal thing, as is the work that is going on between Tiger and Elin. I don't think his gamily should be hounded, and him asking for privacy should be respected. As for his return to golf, I feel that his recovery should come first. He needs to make the decision as to what things are more important in his life and prioritize them. If his marriage is number one, then he needs to put his energy into that.
Did I feel the speech a bit scripted? Absolutely. Did it come form the heart? We will only know by his actions on and off the course as time passes. The one thing I like that he said was that skill was not the only thing that matters, but his conduct is part of the whole package (I'm paraphrasing here). It's really what I have been saying for years. It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

I didn't watch, but started to listen to the feed from Team1200 - 5 minutes of his blathering is about all I could take...what an ultramaroon.

He used the media to his advantage for years, you don't get to pick when you want and don't want attention. He only wants media attention when it suits him. I agree that the without a doubt the paparazzi in general takes things way to far with all celebrities. But he has no right to be angry with anyone or judge the actions of anyone.

He was sniffling as he walked away from the mike. I think that there might have been some tears when they moved the camera away from a direct view.
From the sounds of it, he is headed back into therapy, so he may be heading there today for a while (back into seclusion) and he needed to quash all the rumours of when he may be returning. It may also be part of the therapy program. It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.
