Looking to borrow/rent a hard travel case.

I will be going to Tampa Bay the first week of March and will be bringing my clubs. Before buying a hard case for what could be one trip i thought I owuld check here to see if there are any people who travel a bunch who wouldn't mind lending/renting out their case for a week. Let me know what you have got. Thanks!

I've got a full size hard case that's sitting in the shed. Assuming I can get it out, you can borrow it.

I'm curious why folks request just a hard case. Soft cases are built to protect the clubs too. The Ogio one is just phenom!

You've seen the way baggage handlers treat golf clubs right?

To give you an example, the handlers cracked my hard case on one trip.

I would never travel with a soft case. You are tempting fate and it would suck horribly to arrive at your destination with a broken club.

United not only breaks guitars, they also break golf clubs. Some airlines won't even offer any compensation if you don't have a hard case. I wouldn't travel without one.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I heard the same thing about compensation so that is why I decided to look for the hard case.

Along the same lines, I was sitting in the airport in Hawaii and watched my hard case fall off the baggage truck at full clip. I have also stood outside of where the bags come out in Ottawa and literally watched them throw my clubs 2-3 feet in the air.

As mentioned above, I don't think Air Canada/Westjet will insure your clubs if you use a soft shell case.
