    Visiting Peterborough area

My wife and I are flying into Montreal from the UK mid Sept for a wedding in Peterborough (forgive my geography if Ottawa is not the nearest big city!)

We have 5 days or so to spare before the wedding and would like to pick up a car from airport and move around playing some "scenic" golf. We are not into the big US type resort courses.

Does anyone know of a locally based agent who could put a package together for us? Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Many thanks

Not sure about an agent, but I recommend you take the one hour drive to the Mount Tremblant area... awesome courses.

OK - so I got my geography wrong, but have now managed to find a map that tells me a bit more. It's actually Gananoque we are heading for! Everything is so close together here and I see now that Gananoque and Peterborough are not just next door to each other!

A little West of Gananoque is a city called Kingston. Just north of Kingston is a course called Trillum Wood, it is a very nice course.

My sister lives in Peterborough and there is a great local course, Oliver's Nest. Its tough and very nice, enjoy. If you have 5 hours to travel each way, yes , definitely get to Mont Tremblant, great courses, pricy but worth every penny.
