My first fake
Not going to name any names as he did not know what he had and I dont belive he is on here, but I got a look at my first fake Scotty tonight. Had a deal that I was getting a Studio Select newport 2 for a set of irons I had. Had a couple of ways to inspect the putter while I was meeting with the guy just to make sure. I get there and everything seems to go well, tried what I knew to see if it was a fake ( check with magnet) and passes with flying colours. I get it home and first I see that there is a crazy amount of white coard on the grip. after expecting it I can see slight colour changes around the club. So then I got on a site to see what to look for and sure enough I found about 5-6 things in a couple of seconds. Called the guy right away and no problems, met up and got my irons back with no argument . Im about 100% that he had no idea. The scary thing is were he told me he got them was a shock. A pro shop at a big course in the US. so trust me be very careful when getting anything anymore. I got lucky tonight for sure!

Nice recovery... I was asked to do club work for two people that brought me fake Callaway's. Before I even touched them I noticed imperfections so I told them I suspected that they were fake. They were shocked that they initially couldn't tell. To me the flaws were quite noticible. But needless to say the public is uneducated when purchasing clubs. For those of us who are in the know we have to trust our resourses.
Good one! Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Fakes
Wow after looking at the site it is really easy to be fooled.
I just bought a putter off ebay (not a scotty) that i had my druthers about.
It is real but I do not think i will be buying before I see in the future.
